Zachary Smith, Owner of Keep Rolling Mobility

When I was a young boy, I viewed disability as nothing but a nuisance. I suppose in a lot of ways, that’s all it ever is, but it really did shape a great deal of who I was and who I would become.

In particular, when I was transitioning to high school, I found myself in a group activity that helps those with physical disabilities experience scuba diving at Grand Cayman. Doing this at such a young age, separate from my family for the first trip I had ever taken, and going on this trip with others with physical disabilities – was truly a turning point in my life. From that day on, I understood there were others like myself that dealt with physical disability, did so with grace, dignity, and, despite challenges, found ways to enjoy life by getting around challenges. It was at this point that I had the idea to build a company that made that kind of life in which someone could not only survive disability, but thrive despite it.

Now I am taking the opportunity to mold my dream as a child and my life as a handicap into a beneficial and ethical business. Hence – Keep Rolling Mobility.
